October 21, 2020 Construction Update

The City of Nanaimo water mains and pavement upgrades along Haliburton were completed in May 2020. Engineering of the pump station upgrade to replace corroded piping and steel platforms and an electrical and controls upgrade is well advanced. A development permit is required for this work due to the proximity to the Chase River. This project has been placed on hold pending the outcome of the permit application. Construction is expected to take place in the summer of 2021.
