Intersection Changes Coming to Rutherford Road and Vanderneuk Road

Intersection changes will take place this fall in preparation for construction work on the Departure Bay Pump Station and Forcemain Expansion project. This work is part of the preparatory work happening in advance of next year’s active construction.

When: November - Late Fall (three to four weeks)
Where: The intersection at Rutherford Road and Vanderneuk Road
Changes: Intersection will change from a stop sign to a traffic signal

These changes are being made to help facilitate traffic flow once one-way traffic is implemented in 2027.

Traffic Impacts: Crews and equipment will be in the area and drivers may see delays.

Walking / Cycling: Pedestrians and cyclists will be able to travel through the work areas. Please follow posted signage and directions from traffic control.

Transit Impacts: Transit service will be maintained through the work areas.
