Lee Road Community Park Land Exchange

The Regional District of Nanaimo Board approved a land exchange on July 22, 2025, between a portion of the Lee Road Community Park and a portion of the FCPCC plant property along French Creek. The land exchange allows a new single-story Operations Services (lunchroom and changerooms) building to be constructed next to the current Operations building. This location is the best option to maintain operational efficiency and safety. This location also reduces capital and operational costs by continuing to use the current Operations building and constructing a new smaller space versus abandoning the Operations building and constructing a new larger building in a less desirable location.
