RDN Golden Shoe

The Golden Shoe Hunt is celebrating a BIG year this year! Join us for the 20th year of hunting for the Golden Shoe in RDN parks and trails.

Explore both regional and community parks in the RDN from April 3 through to May 18. Each week a shoe is hidden and a clue to its location is released. Clues and instructions for the locations of the shoes will be posted weekly starting April 3. Sign up to this page to receive clues directly to your inbox each week!

  • Please do not touch the shoe, but do take a photo and post on social media with the hashtag #goldenshoehunt2026 or tell us your hunt adventure to be entered into the draw for prizes.
  • Place a pin on our interactive map to show us where you found the shoe or if you are having trouble finding it. You can even upload a photo!
  • You must register on this page in the top right corner, to submit and be entered into our prize draws. Prizes will be drawn and winners notified by May 30.
  • Once registered or subscribed, you will also receive the weekly clue directly via email so you do not have to remember to check back regularly.

    To find the shoe "you will need to travel far out on this peninsula to comb the beach near the benches on this northwest tip"

    Don't forget to put a pin on the map, tell us your adventures or tag us with #goldenshoehunt2026 to be entered into the prize draws.

Don't forget to drop a pin on the map or send us a picture when you've found the shoe or post on social media with #goldenshoehunt2026.

    Our first shoe has been hidden in a popular Regional park where it's been hidden many times in the past. This clue is an easy one and comes from 2024:

    This park is “Tops” with you.

    Find the shoe and take a long walk too.

    With a river, bridge and lots of trails

    This park has everything, without any fails.

    This year find the shoe past the bridge and along the path that horses can't go, just up the switchback.
