Golden shoe Clue #6
This fine weekend go hunt for the shoe
In this park with waterfalls and lots of stairs too.
Bring your mom for a walk to the ravine
Where the shoe will be sitting, easily seen.

Oh No! Boo Hoo! What shall we do?
Someone has run away with the Meadowood Shoe!
Please do not fear,
You can still come here,
Take a snap of the playground,
or the broom we did clear!
We'll believe that you saw,
and enter you into the draw,
And in future that gold shoe
will be stuck there like GLUE!

A Playground to climb and a community hall,
The shoe is now hiding in a park with it all!
A large gravel space if you have games to play,
And a firehall next door to help save the day!
Come to this park in search of the shoe,
But also this Sunday to help bash Broom too!
We’ll be weeding out Wildfire, a tough war to wage,
If you want to learn more, please visit this page!

This is the park where everyone goes
To see the market and the “Wild Rose”.
If you go on a Saturday there can be quite a crowd
But it’s a great place where that kind of thing is allowed.
*The market opens in May, so may not be open for the first weekend the shoe is hidden.

This week the shoe’s hidden in a park that’s south.
If you look on the Parks and Trails Finder map in Area A
It’s sure to be down around that way.
This Regional Park has a river in its name
And two entrances from roads that sounds the same.
Park at the Fry, where there’s a pipe nearby.
To the left there used to grow broom across from the pipe
But now that it’s cut it’s not likely to get ripe.
Find the shoe where we will plant some native species in the fall
So that the broom no longer grows tall.

April 7 - the first shoe of 2023 has been hidden! Find the shoe, take a picture and tell us about it and/or put a pin on the map to be entered into our draw for a prize bundle.
This community park is named after a "sweet" tree
there are many within to find and see.
The shoe is hid near another large tree that's not so jolly.
Who knew there was all this prickly holly!
Be careful with this invasive species,
‘cause keeping it out of parks ‘aint easy.
