Conditional Purchase Agreement Update

Mosaic has agreed to revise the purchase terms to $28 million, subject to Board approval, in their efforts to help the RDN preserve the site. Since November, the RDN and its partners have secured over $25 million in funding for the acquisition. With the lower purchase price and generous support from the community and other agencies, the RDN and Mosaic are optimistic that an agreement can be concluded to secure this critical forest and wetland area.

Donations and pledges will continue to be gratefully received by Nanaimo & Area Land Trust (NALT) and Mt. Arrowsmith Biosphere Region (MABR) respectively while the parties aim to secure this key conservation site on Vancouver Island.
