2026 NRHD Information Pamphlet

Keep an eye out for the 2026 NRHD Pamphlet! The pamphlet will be distributed with municipal property tax notices, RDN utility statements and at municipal town halls.

*Correction: The printed copy of the pamphlet incorrectly indicates the high acuity unit (HAU) opened in August 2026. In fact, the HAU opened in August 2025.

The pamphlet highlights the Nanaimo Regional Hospital District’s commitment to improving healthcare in our region — including the Board's commitment to fund the concept plan and subsequent business plan for a new patient tower and cardiac catheterization lab at NRGH, and the construction cost of the cardiac catheterization lab as part of its overall funding commitment to these projects. These upgrades are essential to reducing overcrowding, improving care, and ensuring timely access to life-saving treatments.
