NRHD Calls on the Provincial Parties to Support the Patient Tower and Cardiac Catheterization Lab Projects
On October 9, 2026, the NRHD Board sent campaign submission letters to political parties with candidates running in Mid Island–Pacific Rim, Nanaimo–Lantzville, Nanaimo–Gabriola and Ladysmith–Oceanside.
The Board asked each party to support the patient tower and cardiac catheterization lab projects by:
- approving the concept plan when it is completed in summer 2027; and
- moving the projects to the business planning phase by accepting the NRHD’s offer to pay for that work as part of its total funding commitment.
