The Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) has received a zoning amendment application for a property 2202 and 2210 Alberni Highway in Electoral Area F. The applicant proposes to rezone the subject property from (R-3) Village Residential to (C-2) Commercial 2 to permit the development of tourist accommodation under the “Regional District of Nanaimo Electoral Area 'F' Zoning and Subdivision Bylaw 1285, 2002.”

    Following the Public Hearing, Bylaw 1285.40, 2024 will be considered for third reading by the RDN Board on November 26, 2024. The Board meeting agenda can be found here: https://rdn.bc.ca/agendas-minutes-videos(External link). The agenda is posted the week before the Board meeting.

    A Public Hearing will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. at the Meadowood Community Centre at 1830 Galvin Place, Qualicum Beach. All persons who consider their interest in their property to be affected by the proposed bylaw shall be afforded an opportunity to be heard in person or by written submission at the public hearing.
