2024 - 2028 Amended Financial Plan

The Amended 2024-2028 Financial Plan was approved by the Board March 26, 2024.
If you are interested in what was included in the budget please visit the Financial Reports page to view the budget information. The Amended Budget and Property Tax Summaries documents are presented for each Electoral Area and municipality within the Regional District of Nanaimo. These documents provide details of services for your area of where the money comes from and where the money goes.

The 2024-2028 Financial Plan will be presented to the Regional District of Nanaimo Board on November 7, 2023 at a special board meeting. Links to the Financial Plan and the presentation will become available on our Financial Reports webpage on November 7.

Earlier this year the Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) provided an opportunity for the public to provide feedback on priorities for our 2024-2028 Financial Plan. The results of the survey were recently shared with the RDN Board at the November 7th Special Board meeting. The results can be found here if you are interested in reviewing the responses.
If you would like to view the presentation of the 2024-2028 Financial Plan you can follow the link to the Board Meeting calendar, find the event date and click on the meeting to find the complete agenda package. The RDN Board wants to hear your thoughts on what priorities it should consider for the 2024-2028 budget. Submit your input here by Friday, July 14, 2023.
The RDN's 2024-2028 Financial Plan is planned to be presented to the Board in November and December. Upon approval by the Board, the budget schedule will be posted online and shared with the public.
