Help us develop a Local Area Transit Plan for South Nanaimo! The study area encompasses Routes 5 Fairview, 6 Harewood, 7 Cinnabar/Cedar, and 30 NRGH.

Local Area Transit Plans determine transit service and infrastructure priorities within the Regional District of Nanaimo and help realize The Regional District of Nanaimo’s Transit Future Plan.

Our current transit mode share: 2.6% with a 25 year goal to increase transit mode share to 5%. We hope you will share your thoughts on this project to help us achieve this goal!

    The South Nanaimo Local Area Transit Plan is in the final phase of public consultation and we’d like to hear from you regarding the proposed changes. The study area encompasses South Nanaimo, Cedar, Cassidy, and Cinnabar/Extension, which includes routes 5, 6, 7, 15, 30, 40 and the addition of two new routes.

    Your feedback will help establish a blueprint for how transit resources could be used over the next seven years. New route alignments are proposed to meet customer needs and ridership demand. The plan will identify an implementation plan
