A shout out to the amazing RDN youth leaders

I'd like to take this opportunity to share a little bit about the amazing local youth that I have the privilege of working with on a regular basis. Local youth who have become RDN program leaders, skate leaders and lifeguards. These youth lead our programs with passion and dedication to their community. They get to know and care about our children, they adapt programs to be inclusive, they consider likes and dislikes, the time of day, the weather and transitions. They inspire our kids and they inspire me. They work hard, but if you ask them they will tell you it doesn't really feel like work because they love it. They love it because it's fun and fulfilling but I can tell you its also exhausting some days. Even after an exhausting day, they show up the next day with a smile and a positive attitude. They are leaders in our community and they are youth. I am filled with hope knowing they are our future. As a supervisor, a parent and a community member I want to say thank you to each and every RDN youth leader.
