Updated Location for Multi-age Playground

At the March 6, 2024, Electoral Area A Parks, Recreation and Culture Committee (PRCC) meeting, the potential locations for a playground were discussed further. Committee members requested that the playground be placed in a central location with good visibility and to serve multiple age groups. It was determined that the field adjacent to the skate park, of which the RDN holds a 10-year non-exclusive license with School District 69 (SD68) for future use, would be a good fit for a new playground. In addition to a multi-age playground, requests for pickleball courts and a pump track in this area have also been received.
