Washroom Building Architectural Rendering
To complete phase 1 of Jack Bagley Community Park, contractors will begin construction of the washroom building in early February. This building will have two unisex stalls, a small storage room, and an undercover gathering space.
We do not anticipate any court closures during the construction but please stay alert and obey site signage.
The washroom is expected to be complete and ready for use this summer.

The construction of the first phase has begun!
Construction will include sports courts (including 1 tennis court and 5 pickleball courts), an accessible entrance ramp and stairs, a paved plaza with picnic tables, and a new water line and irrigation to the playing fields.
A new washroom building and covered picnic area are also planned but are contingent on grant funding.
Detailed construction timelines are being developed, with anticipated completion in early September. Stay tuned for more information on temporary park closures.

Thank you all all who attended the Open House last spring. We have compiled your comments, considered the site, and the project consultants have completed a Concept Plan for Jack Bagley Community Park. Please have a look in the document library to see the Public Engagement Summary and the plans for the park.
A Phasing Plan for the work is also provided and 2 phases are highlighted.
The first phase includes 1 tennis and 5 pickleball hard surface courts, a washroom and storage building, safe and accessible access to the park along Powder Point Road to a park entry plaza with seating, and a path connection to Nanoose Place with stairs.
The second phase includes upgrades to a single ball field, a half-size soccer field, and enhanced parking along Powder Point Road.
The development of the plans are pending Regional Board approval. If approval is provided, construction documents will be underway in 2020 with construction potentially starting in 2021. A completion date for the project has not yet been determined.
