Manufactured Home Park Tenant Redevelopment Policy Update – Public Feedback Survey
Survey Details
Manufactured Home Park Tenant Redevelopment Policy Update (Policy B1.11)
The Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) is seeking public feedback on the draft renamed Manufactured Home Park Tenant Assistance Policy (Policy B1.11).
The policy update was initiated following Board direction to review and modernize the existing 2006 policy. The proposed update is intended to strengthen protections and supports for manufactured home park residents who may be affected by redevelopment. The draft policy includes provisions related to notice periods, compensation, relocation planning, relocation assistance, right of first refusal opportunities, and implementation measures intended to support residents throughout the redevelopment process. The policy update was informed by public engagement with manufactured home park residents, park owners/operators and community members.
About This Survey
This survey is open to Aug. 29, 2026.
This survey seeks feedback on the draft policy as a whole, as well as several potential amendments proposed at the recent Electoral Area Services Committee meeting on July 9, 2026 (See staff report here). The survey feedback questions are intended to help the RDN better understand community perspectives and identify whether there is support for additional policy changes before the final policy is considered by the Board.
The survey should take approximately 5–10 minutes to complete. All responses will be reviewed and summarized for consideration as part of the policy review process.
Provide Additional Feedback
If you would like to provide more detailed comments, submit supporting information, or share feedback that is not captured in the survey questions, you are welcome to contact the project team directly by email.

Additional written submissions received during the public engagement period will be reviewed alongside survey responses and considered as part of the final policy review.
