On June 19, 2026, Janice Perrino had presented to the Select Standing Committee requesting that the Government of British Columbia commit to moving forward with the business plan once the concept plan for the patient tower and cardiac catheterization lab at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital is complete in summer 2027.
