Timeline

The RDN is starting public engagement to better understand housing needs and explore realistic solutions for rural communities. Residents are invited to participate by attending an “Ideas Exchange” open house session or completing an online survey.

Ideas Exchange - Open House Sessions:

• June 16, 5–8 p.m.
  St. Columba’s Presbyterian Church, 921 Wembley Rd, Parksville
• June 18, 5–8 p.m.
  Lighthouse Community Centre, 240 Lions Way, Qualicum Beach
• June 24, 5–8 p.m.
  Cedar Community Hall, 2388 Cedar Rd, Nanaimo

Online Engagement:
Residents are invited to complete the online survey by July 8.

Input received through the open houses and survey will help inform the draft Rural Housing Strategy, including policy directions, priority housing approaches and an implementation framework to guide future planning in Electoral Areas A, C, E, G and H.
