It’s time for businesses, organizations, multi-family residences and others to Sort Smart and Waste Less!

Three-stream sorting is now required for everyone in the Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) – that includes businesses, schools, health care facilities, places of worship, apartments and condos, and more.

Separate – clearly labeled – collection containers are required for food scraps (food and food-soiled paper), recycling (paper/cardboard and containers), and landfill items/garbage for those who live, work, or have a business in the RDN.

Our goal is zero waste – you can help by becoming a Sort Smart Partner.
