The Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) advisesthat a Public Hearing is not being held for proposed Amendment Bylaw No. 2500.11. A Public Hearing cannot be held because an Official Community Plan applies to the area that is subject to Bylaw 2500.11 and the RDN Board considers Bylaw 2500.11 to be consistent with “Regional District of Nanaimo Electoral Area ‘H’ Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 1335, 2017” and the purpose of the bylaw is to allow residential development.
The RDN Board intends to consider First Reading of Bylaw 2500.11 on April 14, 2026, at 1 p.m.
