Clean Burning Pledge - This is for RDN Electoral Area residents installing a new heat pump and keeping their old (certified) wood stoves for backup heading in emergencies. Conditions apply.

The following rebates are available to eligible residents that switch to a cleaner heating appliance:

Must meet the criteria for CleanBC’s Home Renovation Rebate and Efficiency BC Program

  • This survey is a mandatory requirement for each Community Wood Smoke Reduction Program (CWSRP) applicant submitting a rebate application. Your responses will be summarized and anonymized. No personal or identifying information will be retained. 

    Please fill out this survey using the online form below and hit "Submit" when you are done. Responses will be automatically received by the RDN and reviewed with your application. If any additional information is required, CWSRP Program Administrators will reach out to you using the contact information on your application. 

    This survey should take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete.

    The personal information you provide is collected by the Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) under sections 26(c) and 26(e) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) for the purposes of engaging and consulting with the public. The RDN is using a Bang the Table engagement platform that stores the information in Canada. However, Bang the Table staff are located in the US and may access your user profile information to provide assistance at your request. 

    Some of the questions allow for responses using open-text fields. To protect your privacy and the privacy of others, please do not include any information that could identify you or another person. Identifying information could include a person’s name, address, email or phone number. Any personal information that is inadvertently included in the open-text responses will be deleted once the results of the survey are compiled.

  • Thank you for committing to take the Clean Burning Pledge as part of the Community Wood Smoke Reduction Program. 

    This pledge is a requirement for Electoral Area customers participating in the new Heat Pump Pilot program that allows residents to add a heat pump while retaining (not adding) an existing EPA-certified wood stove.
