    The butterfly, is a symbol of transformation, from the cocoon the butterfly emerges in colourful splendor. Just like a butterfly, we too shall emerge from this unsettling time transformed. Butterflies can be of any size or style – be creativeClick here for templates, fun butterfly facts and notes on colour.

    This is an online exhibition and your photos will be shared in the gallery and on social media. We hope that when facilities reopen we can migrate

    This is an online exhibition and your photos will be shared in the gallery and on social media. We hope that when facilities reopen we can migrate your butterflies to be displayed in our facilities.  The Old Schoolhouse Art Gallery has earmarked July 4 to September 5, 2022 for an exhibit at the gallery. 

    By submitting to this project I hereby give the Regional District of Nanaimo the absolute right and permission to publish, or use photographic portraits of submitted artworks through any media, for art, advertising, publication, video, internet, trade or any other lawful purpose whatsoever, in the communication of information or promotion of the Regional District of Nanaimo.
