Community Watershed Monitoring Stewardship Group Profiles

The Quennell Lake Watershed Stewardship Society joined the RDN's Community Watershed Monitoring Network (CWMN) in 2020 to monitor several tributaries to Quennell Lake. Quennell Lake is located within RDN Electoral Area A in Yellow Point. A popular spot for recreation, the lake and surrounding wetlands are important and sensitive fish and wildlife habitat. The dedicated members of this stewardship group devote their time to the monitoring of water quality within the lake and tributaries to inform the long-term stewardship and protection of this sensitive ecosystem.
